Over the past few years, prophetic words have exploded in all directions causing confusion and division in the Body of Christ. God is not the author of confusion (disorder) but of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33) We seem to have abandoned the practice of judging (discerning) prophecy, something the Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 14:29, 1 John 4:1-5, etc.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
To correctly discern whether a prophecy reflects God’s Word, we must first learn to recognize God’s Voice. When we are in a relationship with Christ, we can learn to hear and recognize His Voice in the same way a mother can recognize the voice of her child in a crowd.
John 10:3, 27 …the sheep hear His voice; and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. …My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
